Will the table cover protector have a strong plastic smell? No, the NECAUX table protector is made of a new Low-Flavor Formula material, which has only a slight smell. If you notice any lingering odor, you can simply soak the protector in a solution of warm water and laundry detergent for 5 minutes, then wash and dry it outdoors for a day or two. After this process, the smell will typically disappear, and you can use the protector normally.

Can the table cover protector be insulated or heat-resistant? Yes, the NECAUX table protector is heat-resistant up to 176°F/80°C, making it safe to place containers at or below this temperature directly on the surface. If the temperature exceeds this limit, we recommend adding a silicone protective pad to prevent any risk of damaging the desktop.

Does the plastic leave marks or ruin the finish of wooden tables? The new CLEAR pad is slightly sticky, so if your wooden table is new or just repainted, it's best to cover the CLEAR pad with a tablecloth or choose the FROSTED option instead. This is because the paint on a new table may not be completely dry and could stick to the pad. Glass, metal, and marble tabletops will not be affected.
